Give me some good beer, conversation, friends, and music and there is little that will bother me. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated and when I don't, I like to think I learn from my mistakes. I believe most people are trustworthy until proven otherwise. I'm a conversational snob. I have little tolerance for stupidity or rudeness. Common courtesy is one of the best traits one can have. I believe there is conversation that is inappropriate for the dinner table. I love running into people I used to know, but am always happier if I look cute when it happens. I think there would be much less ruckus in the world if brunch were a daily offering.

Snow, Republicans and Very Cold Wind

My childish excitement over the appearance of our first snow flurry last night died as soon as I stepped outside this morning and it was 10 degrees at 7:15 am with no snow to be seen. It was further beat like the dead horse it is a few hours ago when we walked to the White House for our tour of the Christmas decorations. It is now official that wind is my natural enemy. Not even overhearing an old Republican bat mutter "Why is HER picture here?" in front of the portrait of Hillary (which, I must mention manages to be very realistic as well as flattering) could boil my blood enough to keep me warm. Although I did retort politely (well, as polite as a retort can be) "I do believe it's because we're in the First Ladies Hall" with a very, very ingenuous smile. I do believe she was fooled.
