Give me some good beer, conversation, friends, and music and there is little that will bother me. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated and when I don't, I like to think I learn from my mistakes. I believe most people are trustworthy until proven otherwise. I'm a conversational snob. I have little tolerance for stupidity or rudeness. Common courtesy is one of the best traits one can have. I believe there is conversation that is inappropriate for the dinner table. I love running into people I used to know, but am always happier if I look cute when it happens. I think there would be much less ruckus in the world if brunch were a daily offering.

Booze and Strangers - A Classic Combination

Friday after our staff lunch Courtney and I headed out to find a fun happy hour. Local 16 wasn't open yet, neither was Bar Pilar so we ended up at Saint-Ex, or rather the location at which The Night Of Which We (Katie and I) Never Speak occurred. It was daylight and we stayed upstairs so I figured I would be safe. And I was. James met us out and we headed over to Bar Pilar. More friends met up with us, a couple of each of our friends and it turned into a really fun evening.

So one of James' friends was getting ready to leave and I gave her my card since we had a really nice time talking with each other (she won me over when she kept telling me how great my hair is lol). A couple minutes later she and her boyfriend reappeared and she asked "do you know anyone in Marblehead?". I told her that my brother and sister-in-law live there. Turns out she knows my SIL. Random. She was invited to the wedding, which was beautiful, but was unable to attend and has since lost touch. So I got SIL on the horn and they chatted enough to trade info. See? Boozing with strangers can be good! Just not on TNOWWSNS.

It's really too bad I got kidnapped that evening, I was having a lot of fun at Bar Pilar. Though, I suppose I got a pretty good story out of it. Remind me to tell it next time I see you.
