Give me some good beer, conversation, friends, and music and there is little that will bother me. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated and when I don't, I like to think I learn from my mistakes. I believe most people are trustworthy until proven otherwise. I'm a conversational snob. I have little tolerance for stupidity or rudeness. Common courtesy is one of the best traits one can have. I believe there is conversation that is inappropriate for the dinner table. I love running into people I used to know, but am always happier if I look cute when it happens. I think there would be much less ruckus in the world if brunch were a daily offering.

When I Hear Music

It makes me dance (that one's for you Mark). It has been a kick ass week for live music. What a great way to spend the week leading up to my birthday! Yay! I like when life likes me :)

Monday I saw Pete Yorn (he's so dreamy) at an instore at Olssonn's in Dupont. He is so incredibly good live, especially in such an intimate setting. Granted, it was stifling hot in the store, but so totally worth it to see him up close and personal. Yum!

Last night after the bus ride from hell (story to follow tomorrow) and the Nats game, Courteney and I headed to 9:30 and caught Ari Hest opening for The Clarks. I have no clue how I know The Clarks, but I love them. They are super fun and even more so live and Ari Hest is cute and talented to boot.

Tonight Melissa and I went to 9:30 to see Mae. Opening bands were good and Mae kicked ass. They were so good. I love shows like that! It was super great to hang with Mel - I haven't seen her forever so it was awesome to catch up with what is going on  with her. There are some friends that when you are with them you don't notice anything around you and she is one of them. I was so out of it I didn't even notice a super cute boy giving me the eye. Okay, chances are good I wouldn't have noticed on a regular day, but I usually catch on before it has to be pointed out to me by the guy doing the hitting. I am completely oblivious to that stuff. Regardless, it was a fun, mellow night.
