Give me some good beer, conversation, friends, and music and there is little that will bother me. I try to treat others as I wish to be treated and when I don't, I like to think I learn from my mistakes. I believe most people are trustworthy until proven otherwise. I'm a conversational snob. I have little tolerance for stupidity or rudeness. Common courtesy is one of the best traits one can have. I believe there is conversation that is inappropriate for the dinner table. I love running into people I used to know, but am always happier if I look cute when it happens. I think there would be much less ruckus in the world if brunch were a daily offering.

Spur of the Moment Date

Is it spur of the moment if we've been trying to get together for a couple weeks now? I met Luke out at the Red Derby where we chatted with each other, the owner and the bartender. All very nice people who solidified my decision to make this my new neighborhood bar. The food looks fantastic, is inexpensive, it's a short bus ride up 14th from me and feels like I'm hanging out at a friend's house. We ended up playing a game of pool, then doing the crossword in the City Paper. I know, I'm a dork. Just before midnight, I realized how late it was getting and that if I didn't leave soon I'd be walking home which is not a good thing to do alone in that neighborhood at night. So Luke walked me to the bus stop, waited for the bus with me and gave me a quick good night kiss. All in all, an enjoyable evening and a great start to the YODA. We'll see if my luck continues to Thursday.
